As the comic demonstrates, the real debate over the 2nd Amendment comes from whether the people have the right to bear arms, or if it was reserved for a well-regulated militia maintained by a state. I hope to continue this discussion later tonight by comparing the history of guns and gun laws in the United States and other liberal democracies.
Sadly I think gun control is all about money, like everything else, and huge arms manufacturers will not see it forbidden to purchase a gun.

ReplyDeleteGuns are embedded into the culture of the US. Separating people from their guns now would be too difficult.
